A large tree has fallen and the earth has collapsed on a popular walking track on the north bank, almost opposite the hot springs.
Cyclists, walkers and joggers are warned to beware of a large and dangerous hole in the track along the north bank of the Katherine River.
A large tree washed into the river during the wet season and the popular track is yet to be repaired.
Katherine Town Council says it is aware of the damage and has placed warning signs in the area.
