
A 45-year-old woman is believed to have been bitten by a snake at Nitmiluk Gorge today.
Emergency services have quickly responded to a 45-year-old woman who suffered a suspected snake bite about noon today.
The woman was taken to Katherine District Hospital just after lunchtime today for treatment.
St John Ambulance paramedics transported the woman from Nitmiluk Gorge to hospital.
A St Johns’ spokeswoman said the woman arrived in a stable condition.
There is no information on what species of snake may have been responsible.
