The inquiry has released its program for the public hearing.
The hearing will be held at Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre from 10.30am to 4.30pm tomorrow.
Dr Spafford, who has emerged as a vocal critic of the Federal Government’s handling of PFAS contamination in Katherine, is scheduled to speak at 12.45pm.
He will be followed by Katherine MLA Sandra Nelson although the NT Government has not made a public submission to the inquiry.
The Queensland, NSW and Federal governments have lodged submissions.
Ms Nelson will be followed by Katherine Mayor Fay Miller, and again there is no submission from Katherine Town Council yet made by public by the inquiry.
Several other locals residents will speak on the submissions they have lodged.
They include Katherine residents Donald and Jennifer Trew who said in their submission property prices have fallen about a third in Katherine as a result of PFAS contamination.
The Trews said they, are other Katherine properly owners deserve to be considered for compensation because of their losses.
“Having both worked hard all of our lives, we are now facing the prospect of a substantially delayed retirement and an uncertain financial future. It is, frankly, terrifying and extremely unfair,” the Trews said in their submission.
Senator Malarndirri McCarthy is the deputy chair of the committee.
Although the public is invited to attend the inquiry in person, it will be streamed live on https://www.aph.gov.au/live
