The performance will be at the Godinymayin Arts and Culture Centre on Saturday, August 11 at 7.30pm.
“We are delighted to have the Australian Dance Theatre visit the Northern Territory and look forward to bringing this amazing performance to Katherine audiences,” Godinymayin Arts and Culture Centre director Poppy Searle said.
“Weaving together live music and astonishingly powerful contemporary dance, The Beginning of Nature is a compelling and ritualistic work.
“At times fierce and explosive, at other times graceful and meditative, this stunning work will delight and inspire. Katherine dance enthusiasts will also be treated to an opportunity to meet the performers after the show.”
The Beginning of Nature had its world premiere in Bogota, Colombia to critical acclaim.
ADT then performed in Amsterdam in February 2017 with audiences blown away.
This year, The Beginning of Nature has toured nationally to Canberra, Wyong, Dubbo, Wollongong, Adelaide, Renmark, Hobart, Mandurah, Alice Springs, Darwin and now Katherine.
“This will be a spectacular dance performance and I encourage people to book early, adults are $30 and concession $25,” Ms Searle said.
