Two females miraculously escaped serious injury after being involved in a horrific two-vehicle collision on the Stuart Highway near Batchelor earlier today.
In the care of St John Ambulance paramedics the young women, aged 24 and 27, were taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with abrasions and minor injuries.
The southbound lane of the Stuart Highway was closed near the Crater Lake turn-off while emergency services crews were on scene.
The accident happened about 10.30am.
