Top auctioneer Paul McCormick, sold off items donated by generous Katherine businesses raising $6375.
In addition, Katherine residents rallied together to make cakes, jams, marmalade and biscuits to sell on the day.
The auction was held at Bess Hart’s Newhaven property on Gorge Road.
Ms Hart, who usually puts her efforts into raising funds for the Biggest Morning Tea, served up her famous traditionally made billy tea.
All proceeds from the day went to Rural Aid Australia.
