Craig and Polly Hohn, owners of Hohns Anything Metal in Katherine, said while they were surprised to win the 2017 Customer Service Award, the recognition provided a welcomed morale boost.
“Good customer service should be the foundation of any successful business,” Mr Hohn said.
“And winning the award showed us we were doing a good job.
“It showed us we were on the right track,” he said.
Mr Hohn said while a thank you goes a long way in showing a business you appreciate the effort put in, nominating them for an award takes it one step further.
“We are very appreciative of our customers and how they feel about the business.
“We set a high standard for our staff, so we always go the extra mile and exceed expectations.
“A simple thank you is all we need but the extra recognition is amazing.
“Nominating only takes a couple of minutes, but the impact is significant,” he said.
Nominations for the 2018 Katherine Customer Service Awards are open.
Nomination forms can be found at participating businesses such as the Katherine Times office, located in the Woolworths Complex.
