A young family from the beautiful seaside town of Torquay in Victoria grew by one last week.
Swapping morning beach swims for weekends camping in the bush, the family moved to Katherine over one year ago.
And the newest addition Daisy Bruce was welcomed into the world on August 30 early in the evening at 7.30pm.
The newborn was the second child in the family to be born at the Katherine Hospital, known for excellent postnatal care.
New mum Kylie Bruce said she was fortunate to have had two of her three children delivered by the same doctor, Dr Brummitt.
Little Daisy, born a couple of weeks early, weighed much less than either of her siblings Vayda, one, and Louis, four.
Ms Bruce said she is hoping the closeness in age of her three children will make for great friendships as they grow.
“Katherine has been a great place to raise our first two children, we have had lots of really special family moments,” Ms Bruce said.
