The 2018 Katherine and District Cricket League grand final will see the top two teams battle it out on the field after 15 rounds.
Cricket association president for the Katherine District, Shannon Dohl, said despite the Crocs currently dominating the ladder, the Camels have beaten the team three of the five games so far.
“The season has been a competitive one, for sure,” Mr Dohl said.
“We are all looking forward to a close game, since it has been close all year,” he said.
The Bats and the Magpies were knocked out of the competition early, with the Bats sitting third on the ladder and the Magpies, fourth.
Camels captain Tim Delaney is betting on past victories to bring the team home.
“The Crocs are the red-hot favourites at the minute.
“It has been a battle this year to get a consistent side up and running, but we’ve managed to establish a good team just in time for the finals.
“We have been training hard and we’ll give it our best go on the field on Saturday,” he said.
The Crocs, previously the Cows, changed their name to amalgamate with the footy club, Mr Dohl said.
The grand final will take place this Saturday at 12.30pm at the Doctor Peter Short Oval.
With the dry season coming to a swift end, sports are slowing down, with many competing in final rounds.
Last weekend the Big Rivers Football League grand final saw both the women’s and the men’s teams play for the trophy.
