While the 31 piece military band was the night’s main attraction, audiences were enthralled by the captivating dog show and the deafeningly loud F/A-18 Hornet handling display.
Held at the Katherine Showgrounds, the family event provided a sneak peak look at Tindal’s military vehicles.
Military working dogs and their handlers showed the audience their capability in providing security and taking down intruders.
The event marked 30 years since the Tindal RAAF Base went fully operational.
Tindal has been busy this week with celebrations.
This morning, hundreds of onlookers lined Katherine Terrace as RAAF Wing Commander Andrew Tattnell lead the Freedom of Entry to the City of Katherine parade to the Civic Centre grounds.
Again, the low flying RAAF F/A-18 Hornets, marking the beginning of the march, was a highlight for the community.
