The Broncos won 34-12 over the Roosters.
Ward played centre with a broken hand in the triumph.
It may have been the injury which kept her out of the Jillaroos squad which was announced today for the October Test against the Silver Ferns.
Ward has been a revelation for women’s rugby having been elevated to the national team in just one year of competition.
She was recruited to play for the Broncos in this inaugural NRLW season.
