A long line of storm clouds is heading west towards Katherine.
As long-term residents well know, the town has a hidden ability to switch on a force field and divert promising storm clouds away at this time of the year.
It has not rained in Katherine since March.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology it has already rained in Katherine today.
A total of 1.8mm in fact.
The bureau’s official weather recordings are taking at the Tindal RAAF Base which might explain the blue skies and nary a drop in the town.
Time to activate your phone and PC radar apps for the wet season to come.
More to come – (we hope).
