All youth detainees at the Police Watch House in Darwin have been returned to the Don Dale Youth Detention Centre.
There are less than 30 of them.
The Don Dale Youth Detention Centre became operational yesterday afternoon following a full security assessment to make sure all safety measures were in place.
The centre was closed after a riot last week in which staff were injured and buildings destroyed.
The detainees were transferred to the Don Dale Youth Detention Centre last night.
All building and accommodation areas at the centre are back on line with the exception of the education administration area.
