Despite the ongoing heat, 14 players teed it up for Wednesday’s mid week Nine Hole competition.
The in-house Katherine competition meets weekly and this round saw Dennis Coburn claim victory with 22 points, winning in a count back from runner up Brett Hughes on 22 points.
Mark Lewis’ golden shots cemented his place as winner of the Men’s Long Drive.
And with precision and accuracy, Mal Rooney’s 2nd hole shot landed him a nearest to pin.

The $1000 hole in one prize, the players are competing for, is yet to be taken out.
“Special thanks to our sponsors: DJ Hogan Electrical, Betta Electrical, L and H Electrical, Central Motors, Dakota Taxation Services, Pro Shop. ISKO Pty Ltd and DPR Insurance Brokers, we couldn’t hold our weekly competition without your ongoing support,” owner of the 12-month-old Pro Shop Mark Lewis said.
“A big thanks also goes out to the Katherine Country Club for after match snacks.”
