Police claimed on Tuesday night, a 39-year-old woman allegedly received stab wounds to her breast, head and leg.
A 47-year-old woman also allegedly received stab wounds to her breast, head and back.
Police arrested the 44-year-old two hours later.
She has been charged with two counts of recklessly endangering serious harm (aggravated) and two counts of aggravated assault.
Investigators have not ruled out changes to these charges pending the welfare of the alleged victims.
The alleged offender is scheduled to appear in Katherine Local Court today.
Police yesterday cordoned off a block of flats in Katherine after the stabbing.
A police car, and barrier tape, were used to block the entrance to the Mannion Street flats.
