I’ve got something to brag about – but not about me.

You often hear about Christians disagreeing with each other. If you’re not a Christian maybe the collection of church buildings and signs in our town justify your disbelief – if we can’t agree then clearly we are wrong.
Our churches are different, it’s true – in big and small ways.
But I said I wanted to brag about something and it’s this – I moved house over the past week, with my family of four young children – and who do you think cleaned our house and fixed up our yard? – the pastors of other churches. And a spouse or two. And busy young professionals from our church. Cleaning up my mess.
You didn’t see it ‘cos you have your own lives to live.
And they did it because that’s what they’re like, not to get your attention.
And they do it for others in need – many others, and definitely for people of no faith as well as Christians.
But they did it for me because we agree that Jesus is our Rescuer. And because Jesus has done it for us – he’s cleaned up the mess of our lives.
We agree on what really matters, though you may not always see it.
St Paul’s Anglican Church meets on Sundays at 9am with kids church. All welcome.
