Australia's leading Indigenous comedian, Kevin Kropinyeri, will be running comedy development workshops for adults and up and coming comedians aged 14-18.
His visit will also include a performance at the Godinymayin Centre on Friday, February 22 at 7pm.
“Kevin is a one-man whirlwind who will have you holding your sides laughing,” Cultural Centre director Poppy Searle said.
“We are delighted to have a performer of his calibre working with our community to bring out the funny side of life.”
Deadly Funny is more than a cracking-good time, it is an opportunity to unearth the freshest and funniest Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander talent from across the country.
The comedy workshop will be held at the Godinymayin Centre on Friday, February 22 from 4pm to 6pm.
And for those who think they have the comedy gene will have the opportunity to perform on stage with Kevin and even win a trip to Melbourne for the Deadly Funny finals.
Tickets for the performance are $10 and available at the door.
The workshops are free for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people who would like to try their hand at being Deadly Funny.
