Police claim to have busted a 57-year-old woman with drugs strapped to her body at Darwin Airport yesterday.
The woman had just arrived on a flight from Melbourne, police say.
Officers from the Drug and Organised Crime Division made the alleged find.
After being grabbed on arrival she was subjected to a search, police said.
"The search located three Cryovac packages strapped to her body. The packages contained an estimated 12 ounces of methamphetamine," police said.
The woman was charged with:
- Possession of Schedule One Dangerous Drug – Commercial Quantity.
- Supply Of Schedule One Dangerous Drug – Commercial Quantity
She is due to appear in Darwin Local Court.
