Born at 11.28am, Carson Telow, has already been passed among family members and friends who couldn't wait to meet the new arrival.
Most excited however, were his two older siblings Logan, who is in transition at Katherine South Primary School and Roy, in year one.
The boys have been counting down the days until the birth of their new brother, Ms Mackie said.

"They got such a surprise when I didn't come home last night and they found out it was happening today," Ms Mackie said.
"They ran in here and immediately began fighting over him."
Just hours old, the two-week-early baby boy continues a family tradition of Katherine hospital births.
You don't have to worry about the hustle and bustle, but you know it is a good maternity ward.

The Katherine mother, who was born at the hospital 25 years ago, said she was thrilled to have her third child with midwifes she has known her whole life.
"Nothing is a drama here, they make you feel confident and relaxed.
"The midwifes and doctors really care, whereas other hospitals are about pushing you out really quickly."
Ms Mackie arrived at the hospital yesterday fully prepared to give birth two weeks early.
The decision to induce was made by doctors last week to mitigate any issues which may arise due to high blood pressure.
The mother of three said she was excited to meet her baby ahead of time to see which of her sons he would take after.
"Both of my boys are really different, but I am already seeing signs that he is going to be much calmer than my second child. I'm thinking he will be like my first, who was a text book baby," Ms Mackie said.
"When I first held him I saw instantly how beautiful he was, he looks like my partner."
