The inaugural "Concerts on Country" will be held over three big weekends this dry season, with events in May, June and July. 

Hosted by Djilpin Arts, the series of weekends is set to create an intimate environment for cross cultural engagement. 

"Djarmalak; come together is a homage to our late founding and artistic director Balang T E Lewis, whose vision was a culturally safe place where everyone could come together to learn, share, exchange and enjoy," a Djilpin Arts spokesperson said. 

"'Culture as identity, art as medicine', was his consistent message to community and visitors alike.

"Cutting-edge Indigenous performance combined with the dynamics and persistence of traditional practice, Djarmalak is a special invitation from the heart of the community and resonates Balang's belief that "culture is everyone's responsibility".

Kicking off the 2019 program is a line up featuring the highly awarded and acclaimed Mojo Juju, triple j favourite Kira Puru, and the latest ladies to hit the hip hop block Oetha, with more names to be announced closer to the event dates. 

Beswick's own Wugularr Drifters will be a feature of the events, as well as workshops, museum tours, art sales, overnight camping and great food.
