Thousands of service men and women who fought in conflicts around the world will be honoured tomorrow with a host of events in Katherine.
The day of remembrance kicks off with a Dawn Service at 6am, held at the Katherine Cenotaph.
Despite a lot of controversy, the early service will not be the only opportunity for residents to pay their respects.
Last month, residents were outraged to hear there were plans to cancel Katherine's key Anzac Day service.
Media had reported Mayor Fay Miller saying the costs of a second service were too high.
Following outrage on social media, Katherine Town Council and the RSL Sub-branch, in charge of Anzac events, quickly rectified the situation.
The community march will commence at 9am starting at the eastern end of Katherine Terrace and breaking off at the Cenotaph.
According to a statement released by KTC, the "march will be proudly supported by personnel from RAAF Base Tindal, Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics, Northern Territory Police and RSL and we welcome the involvement of all in the community who wish to march".
Following the march, a memorial for fallen soldier Private Scott Palmer will be conducted at the Cenotaph at 9.40am.
The service will be followed by a celebration at the Katherine Club where residents can get involved in the traditional game of two up.
The memorial for the fallen soldier is in replace of a second service.
"In a joint decision between Katherine RSL-Sub Branch and Katherine Town Council, the 10am service held in past years will no longer occur," the statement said.
"Across Australia, New Zealand and indeed across the globe, Anzac services are always traditionally held at dawn, where the true essence of Anzac Day is captured."
The RSL will be hosting a traditional Gunfire Breakfast at 5am at the Katherine Club, as well as breakfast at the conclusion of the Dawn Service.
