In an unprecedented turn of events over the Easter weekend, the NT Titans fought their way through to earn draws in all three of their matches.
"Three draws is unheard of, we usually get flogged but fought our way through," NT Titans manager Alysia Bader said.
The Katherine players headed to the Rugby League Affiliated State Championships last week to take on Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia.
"The NT usually gets beaten in all sports across the board but the Titans went in strong on Friday and kept up the momentum the whole way through," Ms Bader said.
"The highlight was an 8-all draw with Victoria, but the 10-10 with Illiwarra and the 18-18 with WA was just as impressive.
"When does that ever happen?"
I am still on a buzz from the outcome, we have never come close to winning.
- NT Titans manager Alysia Bader
The Titans manager praised coach Chris Brown and assistant coach Steve Casey for their ongoing support on and off the field.
"These guys really brought the team together, and it was so wonderful to watch their relationship with these women get them through some big games over the weekend," she said.
"It was down to really good coaching and the players gelling on the field, that got them through.
"It is not just what happens on the field but also what happens off the field."
With only one year of experience on the field for both Fisher and Assan, the level of skill from both players has garnered widespread acclaim from coaches and the CAS representative team.
"Tamika should have been picked for the representative team, her defense was amazing," Ms Bader said.
"Only 20 people were picked for CAS State and only three girls from the NT were chosen.
"Tamika was in nearly every single tackle, she was just all over the field playing her position really well."
While the competition is finished, players will be keeping on top of their training in preparation for selections next year.
