The Australian Electoral Commission has chosen the vacant building at 16 Second Street, the former Big Ass Grill, next to Rod and Rifle, for early polling.
At the close of rolls this week, Katherine had 6135 voters on the roll.
Early polling has proven more and more popular in recent elections.
Times for the polling centre are:
Monday, May 6 to Friday, May 10 - 8.30am- 5.30pm.
Saturday, May 11 - 9am-4pm.
Monday, May 13 Tuesday, May 14 (8.30am 5.30pm)
Wednesday, May 15 - 8.30am 6pm
Thursday, May 16 - 8.30am-5.30pm.
Friday, May 17 - 8.30am 6pm.
