The 2019 Northern Territory Travelling Film Festival is well under way, with the first public screening of the festival at Ooraminna near Alice Springs in March done and dusted.
It has travelled north through Tennant Creek and Daly Waters and will be hitting Katherine in a matter of days.
The festival is on the road until early June, with an outdoor cinema popping up in some of the Northern Territory's most stunning locations.
From the Deckchair cinema in Darwin to Edith Falls and Nitmiluk, audiences are treated to outstanding short films, television and video productions from the NT.
In what might be the most special screening of all, the romantic comedy filmed in locations across the NT, Top End Wedding, will be playing at Nitmiluk on Saturday.
The national park has its own starring role, with the ancient sandstone walls and the Katherine River making an appearance.
You may even catch a glimpse of some Katherine locals who took on the small role of tourists, when it was filmed last May.
The film festival captures the stories, culture and landscape of the region with a selection of short films from the NT, before screening the much anticipated Top End Wedding.
"Our community screenings deliver an outdoor cinematic experience for locals with beautiful remote country backdrops," festival director Britt Guy said.
"The screenings are not only a night out but an opportunity to connect remote communities with the ideas, stories and concept that are being explored across the region."
Top End Wedding is only playing at three locations on the tour, Tiwi Islands, Nitmiluk National Park and Kakadu National Park.
The event starts at 6pm at the Jetty Lawns, Nitmiluk National Park.
