Four licensed premises were unlawfully entered on numerous occasions between December last year and May this year.
Police estimate about $20,000 worth of alcohol was stolen during these unlawful entries.
Police investigations led to the identification of several alleged offenders however police believe the persons were actively avoiding police.
Two male offenders, aged 33 and 18, were arrested, charged and bailed to appear in court at later dates.
Three further offenders were arrested following an unlawful entry at a supermarket on May 10.
One of the males was located with some of the stolen alcohol in the backpack he was wearing.
A 28-year-old male was charged with:
- 2x Unlawful entry
- 2x Stealing
- 2x Damage Property
- 1x Breach of Bail
A 23-year-old male was charged with:
- 5x Unlawful Entry
- 5x Stealing
- 1x Damage Property
A 20-year-old male was charged with:
- 5x Unlawful Entry
- 5x Stealing
- 1x Damage Property
The three males have appeared in Katherine Local Court.
