AEC projections say Mr Snowdon is expected to retain the seat but on the national count, remain in Opposition.
In the Darwin seat of Solomon, Luke Gosling is also expected to hold his seat although the national climate is more subdued for the ALP and Bill Shorten with the Liberal Party expected to hold Government.
There remains a big swag of pre-polls to be counted.
The Senate count could take several weeks because of the large number of candidates.
