NT Police have arrested a man in Alice Springs after he was found with a gun, ammunition and a trafficable amount of cocaine.

Detectives of the Regional Investigation Division raided the 39-year-old man's home in Sadadeen, a suburb of Alice Springs, yesterday.
According to an NT Police spokesperson, the unit not only found a shotgun and cocaine but also cannabis and large quantity of cash.

It remains unknown if the gun was loaded with ammunition.
The man was arrested and transported to the Alice Springs watch house, where he was charged with a number of offences including: possession/use of a prohibited firearm, possessing ammunition without a permit or license, failing to meet storage requirements and possessing a trafficable quantity of drugs.
According to the spokesperson, the man has been denied bail and will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court at a later date.
