Arriving late yesterday afternoon, the performers who double as the set-up crew, had the big top up in record time.
It was a case of practice makes perfect for the team who travel Australia in their caravans putting on show after show.
"Everyone knows what they are doing and we all have fun doing it," the show's organiser Mark Edgley said today.
Visiting Katherine for the second time, the show features new performances and new artists from around the world.
First landing in Australia in 1965, the Great Moscow Circus shines a light on breathtaking aerial performers, high wire walkers, and Australia's top trial riders, The Flair Riders.
"The legendary Great Moscow Circus has returned to Australia with an all new, extreme, show," Mr Edgley said.
"We premiered this tour in Wollongong in May 2017 and have and will be visiting locations throughout New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania."
Held at the Katherine Showgrounds, the circus will be running over three days from Friday, June 21.
Family passes cost $140.
