The four degrees of yesterday was followed by just over eight degrees this morning.
You may be relived to know it was colder in Hobart this morning, after we equalled them yesterday, with just over four degrees in our most southerly city.
The Bureau of Meteorology says Katherine's overnight lows will bounce back to double digits for the next week at least.
The bureau has now confirmed yesterday's four degree minimum was the lowest in 18 years, and under a single degree from the lowest ever recorded.

Forecasters say a mass of cool and dry air, combined with clear skies and light winds, caused the chilly start on Wednesday morning.
They say temperatures will gradually increase during the next few mornings as warmer and more moisture-laden air returns to the Territory.
