NT Parks and Wildlife yesterday said its crocodile management team has been notified about two crocodiles illegally shot and killed on the Adelaide River and will be investigating the situation.
"Offenders face fines of up to $77,500 or five years jail. If you know of or suspect you know who may be involved, please call 0401 115 702."
Many people commented on social media last night saying there needed to be a cull of the Top End's crocodile population.
A total of 134 saltwater crocodiles have been captured in the Top End this year.
