It took police two days to collect all the guns from the house.
Police claim their owner did not have a gun licence, nor were they meeting storage laws.
A "significant number" of firearms, firearm components as well as, large quantities of ammunition and gun powder were found over the two days.
Members of the Tennant Creek Investigations Unit were executing a search warrant at a residential property.
It is alleged the owner of the items failed to meet storage requirements and did not have a license for firearms and/or ammunition, which was subsequently seized.
Detective Acting Sergeant Caragh Hen said the home was "littered" with guns.
"The home was just littered with guns, gun parts and ammunition - it is one of the more unusual jobs we've seen lately," Sgt Hen said.
"This is a complex investigation due to the extensive number of items and as such investigations continue."
"There was no indication these firearms posed any risk to the public, however it remains illegal to possess firearms, ammunition and gun powder without a license and the relevant storage requirements."
Under NT Legislation, gun owners must take all reasonable precautions to ensure that their firearms are kept safely, that they are not lost or stolen and that they do not come into the possession of persons not authorised to possess them.
