Yann Buriet has turned up today alive and reasonably well in the car park at Gunlom Falls where he was last seen on Saturday.
Police said the 31-year-old is being assessed for injuries, dehydration and heat exposure.
NT Police have cancelled the search which began on Tuesday after he was reported as missing after leaving the area on Saturday.
The 31-year-old male was located in the Gunlom Falls car park a short time ago.

Superintendent Hege Burns said police will be speaking to the male to ascertain his whereabouts over the past few days.
"This is a timely reminder for members of the public to make necessary plans when travelling outdoors," she said.
"Always ensure you notify somebody of your travel plans, know your limits, and research the area prior to travel. In case of emergency or calls for assistance, carry a satellite phone so you can notify emergency services or any other relevant contacts."
