As a marketing gimmick, the fast food chain has announced the launch of KFC Weddings.

Six weddings are up for grabs for fans of the Colonel, applications are now open.

Along with getting to smash freshly cooked Kentucky Fried Chicken courtesy of the KFC Food Truck, the happy couple will also get a KFC themed celebrant to make it all official, a KFC photo booth to capture those happy memories, custom KFC buckets and musical entertainment to get the first dance kicked off in true style.

We have checked with KFC, and despite not having an outlet, Katherine lovebirds are welcome to apply.

KFC fans all over Australia can officially head to the website https://www.kfc.com.au/weddings and lodge an application form telling them in 200 words or less why you want the ultimate KFC Wedding.

For those loved up couples ready to take the plunge, the Colonel suggests you apply fast as there's only six weddings available. Winners will be judged on their originality, creative merit and independent expression shared in the entry.

The KFC wedding calendar will be filled right through from October 2019 to May 2020 with these applications so KFC is urging everyone who's interested to get stuck in.
