Katherine Ag general manager Phil McKenna said the new business filled the needs of local producers.

"We cater to domestic and commercial markets, business houses and consumers, offering a range of Kubota agricultural machinery including Krone Hay bailers, Kubota Tractors, zero turn, ride-on and push mowers and brush cutters," he said.

"We also deal in a range of power equipment like generators and we will have a full service work-shop spare parts and 24-hour breakdown support.

"Our dedicated service team will be available for breakdowns and support, seven days a week."

While only in the first month of opening, Katherine Ag's sister company Ord Agriculture in Kununurra, Western Australia has been successfully servicing producers for the past five years, leading the way for a positive future at the new branch.
