Set to take place at the Katherine Sportsground on Saturday, the Summer of Sevens Series will see teams from East Arnhem, Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine and a mixed team of Territory Ringers taking to the field for the second round.
The fast paced game - just 14 minutes - is making a comeback in Katherine.
So much so, the Northern Territory Rugby Union has jumped on board to grow the competition.

The Summer Series takes place over three weekends, usually in October, and this year, the decision to host the second round in Katherine is a clear signal uptake is growing.
The Katherine rugby sevens have started their season strong with the women's competition already underway.
And the men's team is in preparation for their October 25 start.
"The Summer of Sevens is a great developmental pathway for players to be selected to represent the Northern Territory at the Nationals," the NT Rugby Union says.
Games kick off at 3pm at the Katherine Sportsground, with under 17's, women's and men's divisions.
