Contestants who scramble all across the world in the race will end their exhausting journey in Katherine, to pick up the $250,000 first prize.
Nitmiluk Gorge was today revealed as the finish line for Channel 10's The Amazing Race Australia with Tourism NT partnering with Jetstar to co-sponsor the season and showcase the Top End to a national audience.
The Amazing Race Australia follows teams of two, including Darwin couple Jerome and Jasmin, as they race around the globe in an attempt to be the first to cross the finish line in Katherine and win a whopping $250,000.
The finale will hero the Top End's beautiful landscapes and also showcase bookable, local adventure activities.
Tourism operators are encouraged to get involved by promoting their adventure-based tours.
The Amazing Race Australia airs on Channel 10 on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7.30pm.
Tourism NT general manager marketing Tony Quarmby said: "Tourism NT is excited to partner with Jetstar to co-sponsor this year's season of Channel 10's The Amazing Race Australia.
"The Top End will feature in the finale, showcasing the region's natural beauty to hundreds of thousands around the country.
"We encourage tourism operators to leverage the mass national exposure from the show and promote their adventure activities to show Australians what the NT has to offer."
