A join venture between the council and the Top End Rehoming group, it was a rare chance for them to socialise with a diverse group, make new friends, show off skills, eat and revel in pats.
If you were an owner, you were talking about your beloved furry friends, if not, there were plenty of opportunities to get some pats in.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes visited the Lindsay Street Complex, as it was transformed into a haven for the four legged companions, with lots of fun competitions testing eating skills as well as agility skills.
A mobile dog wash was set up to make sure everyone was scrubbed and polished.
And there were prizes for best dressed, most skilled, and and the fastest to complete an obstacle course.
