Work to improve safety at the intersection began over two months ago, with heightened concerns an increase in traffic and road trains would become an issue.
The opening of the multi-million dollar Puma service station last year in November, adjacent to the cultural centre, has added to the flow of traffic.
A spokesman from the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics has confirmed the seven new traffic lights will be activated on Wednesday, December 4.
The ongoing work has seen the intersection configuration upgraded to a four way intersection with Stuart Highway the primary route, Bicentennial Road linking to the Victoria Highway and full access to the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre.
The spokesman said signs ahead of the lights have been installed and will be activated to improve prominence of the intersection and traffic lights.
"Variable message boards will be in place the week prior to activating the lights to advise road users of the immanent changes," he said.
"Motorists are advised to adhere to the speed limit within the area and comply with the traffic lights."
