The road blitz will target drink and drug driving.
Police across the country are uniting to promote road safety, focusing on drivers who choose to drink and/or take drugs before getting behind the wheel.
The number of people charged with impaired driving (drug and alcohol impairment) has continued to rise.
Police are uniting across the country to spread the message: there are too many deaths and serious injuries on our roads.
Last year in the NT, 174 infringements were issued for drug driving related offences and more than 1900 were charged for drink driving.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Matthew Hollamby said "The message is simple if you drive or take drugs, do not drive".
Operation Clyde began at 7am to end 7am tomorrow.
