Two Katherine men threatened a shop worker with a weapon during a robbery late Tuesday night, police claim.

The man have been charged with a series of thefts with violence.
In one of the robberies, police alleged the thieves threatened a worker with a weapon.
About 10.15 on Tuesday night, the men, aged 22 and 27, allegedly entered a Katherine business and threatened an employee with a weapon.
The men demanded money before smashing a window, police claim.
An alarm was activated and police patrols attended.
Later that night, the same men allegedly unlawfully entered another business premises in Katherine South, where money, food and alcohol was stolen.

Katherine uniformed police arrested the men early yesterday.
Detectives from the Northern Investigations Section joined the investigation into these alleged offences.
Detectives charged a 22-year-old man from Katherine with:
- Attempted Robbery;
- Unlawful Entry;
- Damage to Property; and
- Stealing.
This man was remanded in custody and will appear at the Katherine Local Court.
The second male, a 27-year-old also from Katherine was charged with:
- Attempted Robbery;
- Unlawful Entry;
- Damage to Property; and
- Stealing.
This man was bailed and will appear at the Katherine Local Court later this month.
