The new recruits are part of the squad of 59 now half-way through their 30 week training program, which will see them graduate in May.
These recruits will replace others who have left the station or are about to finish their stint here.
They will be posted across the Territory, including 30 to Alice Springs, 19 to Katherine and 10 to Tennant Creek - bringing the needed boost to resources in the regions.
They will build upon the results police have been achieving across the Territory, including 10-year lows in alcohol-related assaults, and 4-5 year lows in commercial break-ins in Darwin, Palmerston and Alice Springs.
Commercial break-ins in Katherine have fallen recently as a result of extra police attention but from record levels which have alarmed local residents.
On the most recent statistics for the year ended November 30 there were 230 commercial break-ins and 117 house break-ins in Katherine.
There were 96 commercial break-ins recorded in 2017 and rose to 277 in 2018.
Police say increased attention on the problem through Operation Pelion contributed to a decrease by 19% of house break-ins and 17% of commercial break-ins on the most recent statistics.
There is also 75 Police Auxiliary Liquor Inspectors stationed across Territory bottleshops - stopping alcohol from getting into the wrong hands and taking pressure off other resources like our Watch Houses and Hospitals.
A total of 22 liquor inspectors have been based in Katherine.
An additional squad of 30 recruits is scheduled to commence training this June, the government said.
Police, Fire and Emergency Services Minister Nicole Manison said: "We are delivering on our promise of 120 extra police on the beat.
"We have ensured that our Police College has run at full capacity to provide police with the troops they need on the ground.
"We are also giving police the best resources possible including a brand new Palmerston Police Station and Watch House, a new Nightcliff Police Station (with construction starting in the coming weeks), and 400 more CCTV cameras across the Territory."
