Our photographer caught up with some of the new babies born at the Katherine Hospital this week to snap some memories for the families.
Devina Collins was transported 350km with CareFlight from her home in Urapunga to give birth to her first baby Alianne Ladd this week.
The new baby was born on Monday, March 9, at 11pm at Katherine Hospital.
Family from the far-away community rushed into Katherine to see the first grand child in the family, and for those who remained at home, excitement over the new arrival is building.
