Doors have been locked and no-entry notices posted across Katherine today following announcements yesterday from the council regarding the closure of public facilities.

However, the library will persevere in its services by offering loans remotely.
"DO NOT PANIC", a notice on the door urged, explaining that anyone looking to loan books or DVD's can contact library staff from 9am-3pm.
It also advised the library's full catalogue can be observed at http://ktc.on.worldcat.org/discovery, and the online "Borrow Box" service remains available.
Elsewhere, a large "Facility Closed" sign now on the door to Katherine Adventure Playground cited the need to cease "non-essential gatherings".
The sporting grounds, swimming pool, visitors centre, hot springs and showgrounds are also now also completely shut to the public.
A council spokeswoman yesterday said no decision had been made thus far on job-losses, but council was "exploring ways to redirect staff into essential business support for our community".
