He was in self-quarantine before becoming unwell and is now in isolation at the Royal Darwin Hospital under the care of NT Health.
The man traveled to the Northern Territory on Sunday, March 22 on QF796 from Melbourne to Alice Springs and then from Alice Springs to Darwin on QF 2974.

Contact tracing on these flights is underway.
There are now 15 cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Territory, 13 of whom are Territorians. All relate to overseas travel.
Another Territorian with COVID-19 is under the care of New South Wales Health in Sydney.
