Ten ADF members will join Environmental Health Officers and NT Police to ensure Territorians are complying with self-isolation and self-quarantine arrangements.
The ADF is already helping the NT enforce controls at border crossings.
Checks need to be made to ensure both overseas and interstate arrivals to the Territory are adhering to their 14 day self-quarantine period as explained and committed to upon arrival into the Territory.
The public can be assured that fines will be issued to anyone not respecting the community and doing the right thing, the government said today.
In addition to compliance activity, the teams will also be monitoring social distancing, enforcing the public gathering limit of 10 persons, and strongly advising Territorians to observe the two person limit where possible.

These compliance actions result from the Chief Health Officer Directions issued under section 53(1)(b) of the Public and Environmental Health Act 2011.
The NT Government yesterday announced the following new obligations for people arriving in the NT:
Overseas arrivals
Arrivals in the NT from overseas after March 28 will be escorted to hotels and monitored for 14 days of quarantine.
If you arrive after April 3, you will need to pay for quarantine costs, expected to cost more than $2000.
Interstate arrivals
Arrivals in the NT from interstate from midnight tomorrow will be escorted to hotels and monitored for 14 days of quarantine.
Those who arrive after Friday will need to pay for quarantine costs.
