The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified of a helicopter crash near Katherine yesterday afternoon.

The pilot, who was the only occupant on board, escaped the crash uninjured.
Emergency services, including police, fire services and St John's Ambulance, attended the crash scene, about 10km west of Katherine, during the afternoon after being notified.
They handed over the investigation of the crash to WorkSafe NT today.
WorkSafe Inspectors have contacted the pilot, who confirmed he was not injured.
NT WorkSafe will continue its inquiries, noting the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has also been notified of the incident.
