The 37-year-old man died after apparently falling from the tracks of an excavator.
The fatal accident happened about 7.30am.
NT WorkSafe and Northern Territory Police are investigating the circumstances. Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
NT WorkSafe said the "root cause of this tragic incident" is still unknown, and its investigators are onsite at the incident scene.
