Police and WorkSafe NT yesterday said the tragic accident happened at Katherine but that was later amended to the Katherine region.
An investigation is continuing into the cause of the death of the 37-year-old man.

NT WorkSafe and Northern Territory Police are investigating the circumstances. Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
NT WorkSafe said the "root cause of this tragic incident" is still unknown.
