It is alleged a 28-year-old man, who is known to the woman, was stabbed twice to the chest after a domestic disturbance on Saturday morning.
Police responded to a report of a man arriving at a local medical clinic with two stab wounds to the upper chest following a domestic incident around 8.30am on Saturday.
He was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital where he arrived in a critical condition but is now listed as being in a stable condition.
The woman has been charged with one count each of Serious Harm, Aggravated Assault and Breach of a Domestic Violence Order, and has been bailed to appear in court on October 13.
Acting Senior Sergeant Anthony Clarke of the Northern Command stated that Police take a zero tolerance approach to domestic violence.
"We continue to work together with community members to minimise and prevent alcohol related harm, and to ensure we are building stronger and safer communities within in the Northern Territory".
