Police seized a large amount of alcohol and drugs during a road blitz north of Katherine last Thursday and Friday nights.

The police operation targeted the secondary supply and sale of liquor in the area.
A road train driver was caught up in the operation and allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine use and was charged.
Police used breath and drug testing as well as sniffer dogs during consecutive nights of vehicle search north of the town on the Stuart Highway.
The haul included:
87.5 grams of methamphetamines
164 litres of liquor
161 grams of cannabis .
Several arrests and notices were also issued:
Two females were arrested and charged with Supply and Possession of a Commercial Quantity of a Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug.
Both are currently remanded in custody to appear in late November.
One person was arrested for having an outstanding warrant and for fresh offences including Driving with Drugs in Blood, Drive Unlicensed and Possess Thing to Administer a Dangerous Drug.
Two persons issued with a Notice to Appear, one for a road train driver who tested positive for methamphetamines and the other a drunk driver who returned a reading of 0.118 BrAC.
Eight Drug Infringement Notices were issued for Possession of Cannabis in a Public Place
10 Traffic Infringement Notices were issued which included two for Drive with Drugs in Blood.
The blitz involved officers from the Katherine Divisional Support Team, Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk and the Dog Operations Unit.
"Drugs and alcohol continue to cause harm in our community; specifically domestic violence, assaults and social disorder," Superintendent Daniel Shean said.
"Katherine police are committed to preventing drug and alcohol related harm in our community.
"Operations such as this, commensurate with other positive prevention and enforcement activities will continue to occur in Katherine.
"Those that are involved in the unlawful sale and supply of alcohol and drugs can expect to get caught and dealt with through the courts," he said.
